Welcome to SosnowskiWatch.com  A Joe Sosnowski watchdog group.

Be CAREFUL 69th District of Illinois!  Learn the truth and facts about Joe Sosnowski here.  Don't be fooled Republicans!  Look into this information we have posted here and hopefully you will see the light and truth.  The lesson we should learn from this Sosnowski character is that we should really check out politicians that come to our area from out of town especially from Chicago and run for political office so quickly and really question their motives for running for office so quickly after moving here.  Are they really here to settle down and help our City or State or are they just here for a calculated move to advance a political career like Joe Sosnowski?

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

This past Monday night August 23rd, 2010 Alderman Joe Sosnowski voted YES to more out of control spending saying YES to $400,000 to design a round about that Rockford most certainly does NOT need.  They can barely pay their bills at City Hall and have multi million dollar deficits.  Joe is now saying he can cut spending in the State of Illinois?  His vote doesn't match his words.  More of the same from Joe Sosnowski.  Please don't be fooled!

Also on this past Monday Night August 23rd, 2010 Alderman Joe Sosnowski voted for the Southgate Apartments development for LandWhite Developers.  It isn't too ironic that Joe Sosnowski went against the Alderman of the Ward and voted YES because Joe Sosnowski received a campaign contribution from none other than LandWhite Attorney Ian Linnebarry:

PAY TO PLAY needs to be stopped here in Rockford and in our State of Illinois.  Voting for Joe Sosnowski "Mr. Pay to Play" is not going to help that matter.  Research the facts on this guy and you will find what we have found about him.  Our State of Illinois has surpassed Louisiana as the most corrupt state in the United States.  Making Joe Sosnowski one of our State Reps. isn't going to change that at all.  Don't we want to repair our state's image or no?

We have found that Joe is a slick Chicago politician.  Watching Joe's commercial and on uTube is like watching fiction or fantasy more than fact. Is he really serious?  Doesn't he know his own record? He's going to "fix" Illinois?  How is he going to do that.

Joe's words and actions don't match up.  Why is he trying to hide so much from us?  He's way to inconsistent and untruthful to be our representative.  A lot of people want Joe out of Rockford but that is not a reason they should be voting for him for State Representative.  It would actually do more harm than good to us to vote for him.  It would be better to not vote for Joe. He came here to run for Ron Waits seat that's the main reason he has been here.  Watch older City Council meeting footage.  Joe looks like he's sleeping and bored most of the time, like he's waiting to run for another office.

A very important City Council meeting Monday June 28th concerning Public Safety and Community Concerns.  Joe wasn't there a no show on Safety.  Joe wants the fire stations closed on the West Side.  He doesn't care about the people there that's for sure.  10 City Council meetings missed so far this term.  Must be the "not full time" approach to public service Joe has.  If you support Fire Fighter's and Public Safey you should say NO to Joe Sosnowski's run to be State Rep.  We don't need that type of state rep thank you.

Another $5,000,000 to $8,000,000 deficit for the City of Rockford this year.  Thank you Alderman Joe Sosnowski!  How can we be expected to believe that Joe is going to "cut spending", "reduce the deficit in Illinois" and all the things he's saying on his website when all his experience here in Rockford has been bringing us multi million dollar deficits year after year since he came here?  He's going to "cut spending" how does voting for all the out of control spending and mismanagement leading to multi million dollar deficits year after year here in Rockford since he came to Rockford going to make us believe that?  Don't believe him! Look at the facts Republicans and residents of the 69th district.

Joe is saying he's going to "fix" our state's deficits?  How is he going to do that?  Since coming to Rockford Joe has blessed us and had a hand in our multi million dollar deficits after multi million dollar deficits year after year since he came strutting into town.    Joe is going to create jobs?  How is he going to do that?  Since he came to Rockford we have the highest unemployment rate in the entire State approaching 24%.   Joe doesn't have any experience or track record in doing what he's saying he can do.  It's fiction!  Pure Fiction!  Don't believe it!  Read his voting record at the city council council minutes and his alderman votes.   Don't believe Joe Sosnowski he's not telling us the truth or coming clean to us.  He seems to be forcing himself on us.  Don't the voters get to decide who's going to be our 69th District Representative?  Why is Joe hiding from so so much and he hopes we forget.

Joe says he's pro business and has an extensive business background?

- NO billboards = No Advertising for businesses and actually has cost Rockford Businesses Millions of Dollars removing close to 30 billboards and advertising revenue.  His removal of advertising billboards has cost the city of Rockford and Lamar advertising a lot of money.  Not to mention how much businesses have suffered because of it.  That was an anti - business thing he did.  Joe's removal of billboards also cost a local social club 30 to 40,000 dollars in damages when the billboard was removed.  The club and the billboard had been there much longer than even Joe Sosnowski's parents were born.  This is far from "Smart" Leadership the fact of the matter is that it's Mis Leadership at it's finest.  Many city's are looking into banning the Digital Billboards Joe has claimed to bring to Rockford because they are unsafe and have caused lots of accidents and loss of life.  Doesn't sound too smart to us.  This idiotic idea of removing close to 30 billboards has taken $1,500 to $3,000 a month from close to 30 businesses that's around $60,000 a month out of Rockford's economy for the past 5 years totaling around $300,000.  Boy could our businesses have used that money for sure.  Not to mention how much it's cut Lamar's income.  Terrible idea that definatly didn't help business here in Rockford that's for sure.  WE don't need those kind of idea's down state.

Has everyone heard about the Joe Sosnowski pay to play (pay-to-play) scandal?  We were informed of it, researched it and find it completely unacceptable.  Pay to play may be accepted in Chicago (where he came from originally) politics but we should definitely not accept that type of corruption here in Rockford or our 69th district of Illinois.  Click on the Joe's Campaign Contributors link for the information.   Should we stand for this in Rockford and the State of Illinois?  Only if we want to continue to be the number 1 most corrupt state in the Union.  Contact the local news and ask them to do a story on this scandal.  Joe should do the right thing and put Rockford ahead of himself and his selfish ambitions and do what is best for the People of Rockford and immediately step down from the Chairmanship of the City of Rockford Planning and Development Committee.  Joe had a conflict of interest from the start and now this scandal comes out.  If Joe doesn't have the character or puts himself and his own self interests ahead of the interests of the City of Rockford and the Citizens of Rockford then our Mayor should do the "right" thing and remove him for the committee immediately!

IMPORTANT UPDATE! Joe Sosnowski has been removed as chairman of the Planning and Development Committee over the Pay to Play scandal!  Thank you Mayor for doing what Joe should have done himself!

SOS and NO are the first five letters of his name that should be a sign and warning to everyone.  A sign from above!  He's endorsed by the Chicago Tribune (that is another sign).

"Rockford Ald. Joe Sosnowski understands that Illinois needs to cut spending, become more business-friendly, and reform state health care and pension systems to survive."

                                                                             -Chicago Tribune

Do we really want Chicago and Chicago Politicians telling us what to do?  If you want Chicago dictating to us then you have to vote for Joe.  Joe is a slick Chicago politician that was brought here to our area to run for Ron Wait's seat because people knew Mr. Wait's retirement was coming soon.  Listen to the way Joe talks. He isn't one of us.  He doesn't sound like us he sounds like a slick Chicago politician.

Joe is now saying he is for less government in our lives?  Isn't this the guy that turned in his own constituents for not doing their driveway's the way the "government" wanted?  How can any public official turn in their own constituents?  Shame on you Joe!

Watch him closely once facts come out about him.  Watch how he reacts and hopefully you will see the light.  Be very careful voters!  You could be doing our state more harm than good.

Are you a "Pro Life" Republican?  Well Joe just had Tom Cross endorse him (Joe Sosnowski honored Mr. Cross at one of his fund raisers January 21st, 2009 at Franchesco's here in Rockford) Mr. Cross is a huge Pro Choice Republican (has even been called "baby killer" before too).  Listen to us People.  We wonder how other Holy Family parishioners are going to feel about Joe, who claims to be a Holy Family parishioner, honoring someone that's hugely Pro Choice honored at his fund raiser?   Tom is pro choice, Joe is pro choice period.   Would someone that was really pro life honor a totally PRO CHOICE person such as Tom Cross (The pro life movement has labeled Tom Cross a "baby killer"?  Think about it people, use your brains.  Don't be fooled by this sweet talking Chicago well trained politician!

"I look forward to serving in the Illinois Legislature with Joe Sosnowski," said Cross. "As I travel the state meeting candidates for State Representative, Joe stands out in the crowd. Joe is a highly electable and energetic candidate who brings experience and a strong work ethic to this race. I am proud to support him."  Belvidere Republican May 5th.  Mr. Cross is referring to working with Joe on Pro Choice issues!   Does Mr. Cross really know Joe's record?  Here is the link to Personal PAC's endorsement of Tom Cross who Joe honored at a fund raiser.  http://www.personalpac.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=31&Itemid=221
The fact's are clear here! "Consider the source".

If you don't feel comfortable voting for someone that's not Republican then leave the ballot blank on the 69th District section.  Joe will work with Mr. Cross to advance Pro Choice issues.  Don't believe otherwise!  It's just not the truth!

Our city of Rockford and state needs a person of real character, full time and not with very little real experience representing the 69th District of Illinois and so many conflicts of interests.  How long has Joe lived in the 69th district?  Definitely not long enough to know how to solve it's problems or even to know what it's problems are.  Joe has told people that he only plans on only working "part time" as State Representative (at his leisure) while keeping his conflict of interests in tact.   Our district and state have Full Time problems and needs Full Time Leadership. He isn't even honest about his life story or his age (said he was 40 years old at the last City Council meeting), how can we expect him to be honest with more serious issues.  Joe came here (or was brought here) from Chicago.  He is a Chicago politician (why else would the Chicago Tribune endorse him).  He claims to be from Dekalb.  Is he a farmer?  He doesn't look like a farmer.  He looks more like a slick Chicago type of politician doesn't he.

His commercial says "we need to control spending".  How can he say that, he hasn't done that as an Alderman of Rockford, Illinois voting for all the out of control spending over the past 5 years that has created multi million dollar deficit after multi million dollar deficit year after year since he came to town.  Don't believe Joe learn the facts and you will see the light about him.

Please find a lot of factual information that people should know about Joe Sosnowski candidate for 69th Representative District of Illinois and Alderman of the 1st Ward of Rockford Illinois.  Our Future and Success of Rockford, Boone County, Dekalb County and our State of Illinois DEPENDS on knowing the truth about him!   A lot of people that really don't know about Joe we think voted for him probably just for the smile or had seen one of his many many signs all around.  Education?  Educate yourself about Joe Sosnowski right here.

Please be informed before you vote 69th District!  Joe has a lot of people fooled.  A lot of people that really know Joe or have dealt with him use word's  to describe him "arrogant" "career politician" "Fugazi", "Mr. Buckley", "Nicolosi's Boy" and other things we will not print here.   Joe is "Candidate School" trained and educated, a "Chicago Politician" and a "Career Politician", please don't believe otherwise.  Since he came to Rockford on his political opportunity quest 5 or 6 years ago not 8 years as Joe said on Deans show on WNTA.  Rockford has incurred the highest taxes and deficits in years (Joe most certainly took part in creating that, look at his voting record at the City Councils minutes) He's the "yes boy" yes to nearly every out of control spending measure.  Joe Sonsowski's being here has made Rockford more miserable a place to live.  Rockford has the highest unemployment rate in the entire state and higher than the national average.  Joe is going to create jobs?  How?  He doesn't have any experience at it and he's the one saying he can create jobs for our state? HOGWASH!  Do we really want more of this for our entire state?  We sure hope not!

- Joe is avidly against public transportation.  You would be a total fool to believe otherwise.  When it came time to fight for something that would benefit a lot of people especially senior citizens and create a lot of jobs and bring millions of millions of dollars to Rockford, he fought vigorously against it (a new Public Bus Transfer Terminal and Public Transportation).  A press conference was held last week and a lot of public officials including Senator Dick Durbin, Rep. Chuck Jefferson, Sen. Dave Syverson, Sen. Brad Brazynski, Mayor's of Rockford, Belvidere and Freeport, Alderman and 69th District Candidate Ray Pendzinski was even there supporting this great thing for Rockford and beyond (Don Manzullo wasn't there but he was having an operation at the time and we feel confident he would have been there too).  The only local official that wasn't there was Joe Sosnowski alderman of the Ward 1 and candidate for 69th District that the terminal will be in.  How on earth can anyone have fought so vigoursly against this?  Joe even went as far to accuse City of Rockford Legal Director Patrick Hayes of "illegal activities" with regards to the paperwork submitted for the Bus Transfer Station that will connect Rockford to Belvidere and beyond.  Joe said NO to Jobs, NO to bringing millions upon millions of dollars to the area, NO to public transportation?  This center will cut our dependence on foreign oil and in the future connect Rockford to Belvidere and Boone County.  He didn't want to connect Rockford with Belivdere and fought vigorously against it.  He even wanted to bring the trial lawyers into this and create lawsuits against it. THANK GOD Joe didn't prevail!  NO to the people of Rockford especially our wisest citizens (our senior citizens) who depend on public transportation??  No to our citizens that have lost their cars or licenses that depend on Public transportation? No to connecting Belvidere and Boone County to Rockford via public transportation?  Let's say NO to JOE on November 2, 2010.   If you don't want to vote for the Democrat or the Green party candidate just leave that part blank and don't cast a vote.  That would be better than voting for Joe Sosnowski we are certain of that.

Joe says he's for less taxes?  Joe Sosnowski supported higher sales taxes and higher garbage fees (he voted for raising our garbage fees before he voted against them, sound like someone else?)!  He voted YES to raising our garbage fees to trick other Alderman into voting yes and then once the vote was over he looked at the Mayor of Rockford and said "I want the record to show I voted no".  Joe will support raising our State's sales Tax higher because he thinks raising Rockford's was "GREAT!" as quoted by him on WNTA's Dean show.  The facts, the truth, his record and what Joe says are in direct opposite.  Do your research and just don't believe the things that come out of Joe's mouth.  WE have learned that here in Rockford for sure.  Joe now says Wednesday January 13th, 2010 that he's been living in Rockford 8 years?  That is just not true and NO misquote these words came right directly out of his mouth on the radio WNTA.  Did Joe live in Rockford when he was an Alderman in Dekalb?  If a person can't even be truthful about their life story how can we expect them to be truthful with more important things that face us voters in the 69th District?

Joe has taken campaign contributions from Com Ed.  Electricity fee increase is certainly coming if Joe has anything to do with it especially taking money from Com Ed.  Look out Boone, Winnebago, and Northern Dekalb County your electric bills will go up if you vote for him.
